EU Digital Product Passport deadline forces manufacturers to embed traceability data
From February 2027, the EU will require every product sold in its market to carry a machine‑readable Digital Product Passport, documenting material provenance, carbon footprint, and end‑of‑life status. Data teams must build a unified, real‑time data foundation so the passport can be generated, updated and verified on demand, or risk being barred from EU sales.
