Linkerd federation enables zero‑downtime failover across Kubernetes clusters
Linkerd’s multicluster extension can run federation, flat mirroring, and gateway mirroring together across three GKE clusters. The setup presents a service as a single load‑balanced endpoint, so when any cluster disappears traffic instantly shifts to the remaining pods, achieving zero‑downtime failover.
