DuckDB 2.0 adds async I/O to turbo‑charge S3‑backed queries
Version 2.0 will read Parquet and CSV files asynchronously, letting threads overlap network fetches with processing. In cloud setups like EC2 + S3, this eliminates idle wait time and can double query throughput compared with the current synchronous reads.
