DataFusion runs PageRank on a billion‑edge graph with 5 GB RAM
The author built a map‑reduce style graph engine on Apache DataFusion that fits billion‑edge graphs into 5–10 GB of RAM. It computes PageRank on a 1 billion‑edge dataset and finds weakly connected components on a 2 billion‑edge graph, something libraries like NetworkX can’t handle. This shows DataFusion can replace heavyweight Spark clusters for large‑scale graph analytics.
