NSE adds Closing Auction Session, pushes F&O close to 3:40 pm Aug 3
From August 3, 2026 the NSE will run a Closing Auction Session in the equity cash segment and extend Futures & Options trading to 3:40 pm, ten minutes later than today. The change aims to improve end‑day price discovery and bring Indian markets in line with global practices, affecting all listed derivative contracts.
