CBI files FIR against Anil Ambani over Rs 1.8 trillion EPFO fraud
The CBI lodged a First Information Report accusing former Reliance Capital chairman Anil Ambani of cheating, criminal conspiracy and causing a wrongful loss of Rs 1,816.22 crore to the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation through defaulted NCDs. Ambani denies any wrongdoing, and the probe could jeopardise Reliance Capital’s finances and EPFO’s fund safety.
