India‑China Shipki‑La border trade reopens, 16 Indian traders head to Tibet
After a six‑year COVID‑induced shutdown, Himachal Pradesh inaugurated a Rs 1.70 crore Trade Mart at Shipki‑La and dispatched the first batch of 16 traders carrying jaggery, rice, tea and other notified goods to Tibet. Officials say the revival will lift border‑area incomes and tighten India‑China ties.
