Halodoc cuts Airflow CPU use 30% with Assets and deferrable operators
Halodoc migrated 160 Airflow DAGs from polling sensors and synchronous Redshift loads to Airflow 3.x Assets and the deferrable RedshiftDataOperator. The change eliminated idle worker slots, dropping average CPU per worker from over 2 cores to under 1.5 and saving more than 30% in cloud costs.
