GitHub Actions suffers record‑long outage, throttling all workflows
On Aug 6 2026 GitHub Actions entered a major outage that throttled webhook triggers to about 15%, left pushes and PRs silent, and handed runners jobs that no longer existed, hitting both hosted and self‑hosted runners. At >6 hours it’s become the longest full‑scale outage in the service’s history, eclipsing the 8‑hour May 2021 incident.
