Azure API Management launches AI Gateway tier for governed AI model access
Microsoft’s Azure API Management now offers a dedicated AI Gateway tier in public preview, giving a single managed endpoint for OpenAI‑compatible models and MCP tools. The tier adds built‑in governance—token and request rate limits, credential hiding, and OpenTelemetry telemetry—so teams can secure and observe AI workloads without wiring each provider individually.
