Claude Code Makes Auto Mode Default, Trusting AI Over Human Approvals
Starting Aug 14, Anthropic will flip Claude Code’s Auto Mode on for Pro, Max and Team users, letting the AI decide when to block risky actions instead of spamming humans for approval. Internal tests showed humans approve 97% of prompts and catch only 13.6% of dangerous commands, while Auto Mode blocked 89% of threats.
