Techno Defence Pvt Ltd has built a 10‑gram Joule‑Thomson cooler that cryogenically cools missile IR seekers to –196 °C, a capability previously held only by the US, France and Israel. Funded by DRDO’s Technology Development Fund, the lean device lets Indian missiles cut thermal noise and opens a high‑value export market under strict MTCR controls.
