ShinyHunters leak 1.6 M RingCentral accounts, exposing personal data
In July 2026 ShinyHunters extorted RingCentral and published a dump of 1.6 million user records – email addresses, names, phone numbers and physical addresses. The breach affects a limited slice of RingCentral’s business customers, forcing them to reset passwords and enable 2FA, and highlights the risk of social‑engineering attacks on cloud communications platforms.
