Netflix Retires In-House Batch Queueing, Standardizes on Kubernetes Kueue
Netflix has migrated most of its batch workloads onto Kueue, the open-source Kubernetes-native job queueing system, retiring a homegrown solution that couldn't keep pace. Teams mapped existing capabilities onto Kueue's API and gained features like fair sharing, preemption, and multi-cluster dispatch that were costly to build in-house. It's a big validation for Kueue as the default scheduling layer for batch and ML workloads.
