He drew 2,000 assets for a flop, then gave them all away
A solo creator spent a year hand-drawing 2,000+ illustrations for a product that never took off. Instead of burying the work, he released the whole library (13 themed kits for games, apps and maps) under CC0, plus Figma files, a plugin and an MCP server. The failed product became free distribution fuel, and the library now has a following on Product Hunt.
