Bun 1.4: Rust rewrite, 1,517 more Node tests, idle CPU down 5x
Bun 1.4 lands its biggest Node.js compatibility jump since 1.0: 1,517 more of Node's own tests pass now, and over 2,900 issues are fixed. The runtime was also rewritten from Zig to Rust, which cuts idle CPU use 5x, trims memory by up to 35%, and halves startup time on Linux. New toys include Bun.Image, Bun.cron(), WebView, markdown, parallel run/test, plus bun audit fix and dedupe.
