Azure DevOps MCP Server Is GA, but Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor Still Can't Connect
Microsoft's Azure DevOps Remote MCP Server is now generally available: a hosted endpoint at mcp.dev.azure.com that gives AI assistants access to work items, repos, and pipelines with zero install. The catch is auth. The server relies on Entra, which today blocks Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Cursor, so those users stay on the local server while first-party clients like GitHub Copilot in VS Code connect now. The constraint is the security story: no PAT in a config file, just the developer's own Entra permissions.
