Google rolls out embeddable Preferred Sources button that lifts Top Stories standing
Google is opening up discoverability levers it has mostly kept in-house. Publishers can now embed an interactive Preferred Sources button that holds readers on their own page after opt-in and raises their odds of landing in Top Stories, with the total source count already past 600,000. Natural-language controls let Discover users reshape feeds in their own words, and Google News audio briefings become topic-customizable.
