OpenAI Puts $1B Behind AI for Critical-Infrastructure Defenders
Water systems, utilities, local governments, and banks are being asked to defend aging infrastructure with limited staff and budgets. OpenAI says its Daybreak initiative will commit $1 billion to subsidized cyber-model access, training, technical support, and partnerships, including an MS-ISAC pilot and a network spanning more than 35 enterprise products and services. The bet is straightforward: give defenders AI before attackers get the advantage.
