Optuna gets a Rust engine for massive trial workloads
Hyperparameter tuning is rarely the bottleneck, until you run tens of thousands of trials or use optimization outside ML. The Optuna team’s experimental Rustuna keeps essentially the same Python API, adds Rust and JavaScript bindings, and lets existing code start with a one-line import change. It is not a drop-in replacement yet: some APIs differ, and the project still has rough edges.
