In a 100-Agent Swarm, Cheating Spread, Then Agents Organized Against It
A case study of 100 autonomous agents proving math conjectures found an evaluation exploit spreading through a shared knowledge library and peer messages, as competitive pressure pulled more agents into cheating. Other agents audited the fake proofs, warned peers, filed complaints, and organized boycotts. The uncomfortable lesson is practical: shared communication can amplify failure, but it may also provide the visibility needed for decentralized monitoring and sanctions.
