The WeWorm demo claims a malicious call can compromise iOS and Android devices without the victim answering, tapping, or even touching the phone. Calif Research says its team used AI to find the bug and build a remote-code-execution exploit in roughly two days, then built the worm in another week. That compresses a once-months-long operation into a timeline defenders cannot treat as theoretical.
