Claude makes biomolecular models 4x faster, with less memory
Researchers can now run more than 30 open-source biomolecular models roughly 4x faster, and predict systems larger than 10,000 tokens on a single NVIDIA GPU node. Claude achieved the speedups by optimizing models for tasks including structure prediction, protein design, and genomics; the average gain traded away minimal precision, while identical outputs ran nearly 2x faster. Anthropic has open-sourced the optimized code.
