Claude Code now reads AGENTS.md when CLAUDE.md is absent
Claude Code now lets projects use AGENTS.md instructions without adding a Claude-specific file, making the same setup usable across more agent tools. If a project has no CLAUDE.md, Claude Code reads AGENTS.md instead; you can change that choice under Project instructions in /config. The fallback is not yet available on Bedrock, Vertex, or Foundry.
