Alibaba’s V900 triples chip performance as cloud buildout targets 20GW
Alibaba’s Zhenwu V900 gives cloud customers a claimed threefold performance jump over the M890, but commercial availability is not due until the first quarter of 2027. The accelerator handles both model training and inference, and a cluster can hold up to 500,000 chips. Alibaba also targets more than 20GW of global data-center capacity by 2032, turning the chip launch into a broader infrastructure bet.
