$17.2M gives arXiv room to build its independent future
arXiv has secured $17.2 million over three to five years, giving the research archive funding to operate independently while upgrading the service millions of researchers use each year. The money will support technical infrastructure, day-to-day operations, governance, and work to manage AI-generated content. That means researchers get a better-supported place to share findings across fields including physics, mathematics, and computer science.
