KoboldCpp bundles a lightweight local coding agent with nine tools
KoboldCpp 1.122 lets local-model users run an agentic harness for coding and other computer tasks without adding a separate tool such as Opencode, Codex, or Claude Code. Enable it in the GUI's Admin tab or with `--agent`; it includes nine tools, supports MCP extensions and OpenAI-compatible backends, and offers on, auto, or off approval for tool calls. It needs at least 28k context, 8k generation, and 12GB VRAM for a good experience.
