Claude for Government brings FedRAMP High AI to agencies without seat fees
Federal and state agencies can now use Claude’s coding and agent capabilities in a FedRAMP High authorized environment, with usage-based billing instead of seat fees. Agencies prepay in fixed increments with a hard spending cap, while administrators set model and dollar limits by user group, review audit logs, and keep conversation history on agency-managed devices. Claude Code and Claude for Microsoft 365 are available in early access through the same environment.
