Developers can use GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast in the OpenAI API, where it generates tokens up to 8x faster than Astra Standard, making coding agents and interactive apps quicker to respond. OpenAI optimized the inference software, the code that runs the model, for NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. In an agent loop, that speed applies each time the system writes code, calls a tool, checks the result, and decides what to do next.
