Beam targets frontier coding at 3–4× less inference compute
Reflection’s Beam gives developers an open-weight model aimed at coding and agentic work, with comparable advanced-reasoning scores to GLM-5.2 while using 3–4× less inference compute. Its sparse Mixture-of-Experts design has 501 billion total parameters but activates 23 billion per task. Beam is still in final red-teaming, with early access available now and weights, a technical report, and developer artifacts planned later this month.
