SynthID now lets anyone check AI-made media globally
Anyone can now use Google’s SynthID Detector globally in English to check whether an image, video, or audio file was made with AI from Google or partners such as OpenAI and NVIDIA. It looks for imperceptible watermarks embedded in the media, rather than judging its appearance, and Google says SynthID has already marked over 180 billion images and videos plus 240,000 years of audio.
