Strata’s history rewrite breaks normal updates for existing clones
Existing Strata checkouts can no longer update normally after the project force-updated its main branch, leaving users on old source, engine, and Python packages. The old and rewritten histories each contain 845 commits but share no commit IDs, so Git cannot find a common ancestor; Strata’s UPDATE.bat then fails at `git pull --ff-only` and never runs its package update step. The issue reports that rewritten commits omit Claude-related trailers, but does not confirm why.
