OpenAI’s reported revenue run rate is $20 billion below the earlier estimate
OpenAI has reportedly told investors its annualized revenue is approaching $50 billion, not the roughly $70 billion figure reported a little over a week earlier. The gap comes partly from how the companies count revenue: Anthropic includes sales made by cloud partners, while OpenAI does not. That matters as OpenAI tries to justify massive financing, including a $122 billion funding round in March.
