Iris-3B skips the VAE to generate 1024-pixel images directly
Iris-3B gives developers a 3-billion-parameter image model that turns a text prompt into a 1024-pixel image without a separate VAE or compressed latent space. The network outputs every pixel itself, then the same model can be fine-tuned for monocular depth estimation, image restoration, and upscaling without changing its architecture. Running the text-to-image checkpoint requires about 12 GB of weights and an NVIDIA GPU with CUDA.
