Falcon ASR cuts Arabic transcription errors, especially for Emirati speech
Falcon-ASR gives speech applications a 1.6B-parameter model focused on Arabic, including Emirati, while also supporting English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Feed it recorded speech and it returns a transcript with optional word-level timestamps, linking each word to its position in the audio. TII reports 20.92% average word error rate across six Arabic test sets, 2.25 points better than the best published result in its comparison snapshot.
