Indra OCR turns a 1M-parameter model into 49 pages per second
Indra OCR gives CPU-only document processing a small, fast option: install it with pip and convert PDFs or images into Markdown, text, or JSON with layout boxes. The 1M-parameter recognizer runs at up to 49 pages per second, about 230 ms per page on four x86 virtual CPUs, while scoring 41.3 on OmniParseBench text versus 35.8 for PaddleOCR's PP-OCR text models. It needs about 18 MB of models and no PyTorch.
