Meta’s 816B Muse Spark brings agentic AI to two desktop Macs
Meta’s Muse Spark Open gives developers an open-weight multimodal model for coding and agentic work, with APIs available now and a 1M-token context window. Its 816B parameters, 42B active, can run locally across two Apple M5 Ultra Mac Studios, which together provide up to 1TB of unified memory. Meta tested it shipping iOS changes and editing video end to end, while custom kernels delivered up to 3.95× kernel-level speedups on AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.
