Perplexity opens SPACE so agents can work inside recoverable sandboxes
Perplexity is open-sourcing SPACE, the sandbox platform behind its Computer agent, so developers can build autonomous systems with isolation, state recovery, and credential and network controls already in place. An agent can work in a separate workspace, pause for human review, then resume with its files and running state preserved, or branch the session to test an alternative. Perplexity says security testing found SPACE resilient against network-bypass techniques used in the OpenAI/Hugging Face incident.
