Tsinghua’s new hub gives AI-safety researchers a base in Beijing
Researchers can now apply for the Spring 2027 Beijing AI Safety Residency, a concrete route into sustained work with China’s AI-safety community. The hub, supported by Tsinghua University, brings Chinese and international researchers together in one working community, with the first cohort already accepted. Its stated focus includes loss-of-control risks, evaluation, interpretability, and related safety research.
