Simjecture lets AI test physics ideas by hunting counterexamples
Simjecture gives language-model agents a recorded workflow for testing human-defined physics conjectures, so researchers can use autonomous search without treating any model as final. The open-source framework runs computational physics as an executable testbed, then uses counterexamples to repair hypotheses. In an 82.6-hour Z-pinch investigation, it found that stronger helical deformation raised resistive conversion but reduced radiation, while a broader trailing-plasma profile delayed the radiation peak and recovered much of the early deficit.
