A Qwen model now runs NES games, but each frame takes seconds
You can run NROM NES games inside a standard Qwen3.5 checkpoint, although a 10-second gameplay clip takes about 25 minutes. A compiler, not training, writes the 6502 CPU, 2 KB of RAM, and cartridge code into the model weights, which then predicts the CPU's execution log one token at a time. The bundled games match a conventional 6502 emulator frame for frame.
