Codex agents stop blocking: OpenAI ships async questions so coding continues mid-reply
OpenAI merged send_user_message_async into the public Codex repo, letting the agent ask a developer a question and keep working on unrelated tasks instead of idling. The reply arrives later as a new user message, and subagents don't get the tool. Experimental, but a signal for less blocking agent workflows.
